creating has always been about connecting to something larger than myself.
it started in my early teens — painting feelings that didn’t have words yet, sketching through loneliness and uncertainty, finding a quiet companionship in the work itself. art became a mirror and a doorway. eventually i realized healing myself and the world around me were the same thing.
over time that practice grew into a relationship with nature. the louisiana swamp — its birds, trees, waters, and shifting seasons — became my teacher and my collaborator. paying attention to the natural world reminded me that meaning reveals itself slowly, and that’s okay.
my art lives in that space between my inner world and nature herself. may it be a reminder of slowness, intention, and a deeper relationship with this life on earth.
